Brand & motion designer based in Belgium.
Working under the alias korneel.gif I use a file extension that bridges static and motion. I work independently, but rarely alone, creating concept-driven brand identities.

Bar Del Sol is a tucked-away sunspot in the heart of Leuven. A restaurant and bar shaped around southern ease and unhurried living. I developed a full brand identity rooted in that atmosphere, from strategic direction to visual language and tone of voice. The concept of effortless warmth comes to life through organic shapes, custom typography and flexible graphic elements. I also created a series of hand-drawn illustrations with loose, imperfect lines. As if someone had doodled them on a napkin while waiting for wine. Together, these elements build a brand that feels calm, generous and gently sun-soaked. A brand that doesn’t push, but gently draws you in, much like the place itself.

Greentale
,
Brand Refresh
,
2023
Greentale makes ready-to-drink cocktails, but unlike most, they’re made with fermented lime juice, not pre-mixed alcohol. That difference became the starting point for a new packaging concept and a sharper visual direction. What began as a request to redesign their bottle evolved into a focused brand refresh and ultimately led to a switch from bottles to cans. I reworked the logo, typography and colour palette, and introduced a visual concept that captures the essence of each cocktail through custom textures. These textures were derived from the drink’s key ingredient, then digitally refined into graphic illustrations that give each label its own identity while keeping the range visually coherent. The result is a cohesive and characterful identity with a strong visual hook and clear product distinction.

MOSO Structures builds modular bamboo constructions for events and public space. I created a visual identity that brings structure, clarity and warmth, reflecting bamboo’s dual nature as both engineered and organic. The concept is rooted in the structure of bamboo itself: a hidden network of connections that supports fast, visible growth. That idea shaped the entire system, from technical line drawings repurposed as graphic elements to the naming of key structures like the Arch, Base and Grid. The result is a modular and tactile identity that pairs strict layouts with natural colours, understated photography and a green that feels both accessible and elevated.

Klub Lokal is a city festival that flows from sunlight till sunset. A laid-back celebration of music, movement and togetherness in the heart of Roeselare. The concept centres on the organic transition from day to night, a warm summer flow that shapes the entire identity. At its core is a custom-built motion tool that generates endless gradient animations from a fixed colour palette and consistent rhythm. These flowing visuals act as animated backdrops, overlays and layered compositions, while their shapes are reused as tactile print graphics. Supporting type animations flow in and out with the same softness and ease. The logo adds a playful touch. Its first letter transforms into a dancing figure, inspired by Matisse’s La Danse.
